Based on the experiences with the "Bachelor House", Vodder and Borg, in 1959, launched the first series of pre designed standard houses, which they called "Sjællandshuset" and "Jyllandshuset". The reason why these names were chosen, was that transport between Zealand and Jutland/Funen could only take place by ferry. That meant considerable transport time between the different parts of the country, and therefore it was decided to collaborate with two contractors respectively east and west. This also meant that local considerations resulted in differences in design and especially interior design.
