Vodder’s late Career
Vodder continued to design throughout his life. In the 1990s he was still very active and developed and continued partnerships with Nielaus A/S and Kircodan A/S.
Vodder moved in this period his studio to Lyngby and was often contacted by Bruun Rasmussen Auctioneers among others in Copenhagen, as a design expert. Through this work he discovered a growing interest in his early designs and began to investigate the possibilities of new production of the old designs.
AV 53 by Nielaus originaly developed in 1953 and produced at the time by Ivan Schlechter.
After his workwith KWA, Vodder got in contact with Kircodan A/S and they began cooperation with the Thailand based producer O.K. Wood Product Ltd. and their CEO Thanun Ounkomol. Hereafter a very substantial range of exclusive garden furniture and accessories were brought to the market.
Today, especially Vodder’s designs from the 50s and 60s have become very popular again, and as access to the original furniture now a days is limited, new produced specimens are in high demand again.
Therefore a number of Vodder’s designs are being produced today by our partners.
